This Privacy Policy explains how HammerCalc (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provided by Garrett Hiebert (“HammerStorm”), handles information in connection with your use of the App.

We built HammerCalc to be privacy-respecting by design. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. The information you create in the App stays on your device.


1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Policy applies to the HammerCalc application for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, available through the Apple App Store. It does not apply to any third-party websites, services, or apps that may be linked from within HammerCalc.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Consistent with our App Store privacy declaration, the developer does not collect data from this App. Specifically, we do not collect, store on our servers, or have access to:

3. Information Stored on Your Device

To provide the App’s features, the following information is created and stored locally on your device and, where you enable it, in your personal Apple iCloud account. We do not have access to this information:

This data remains under your control. You can delete it at any time by deleting the relevant items within the App or by uninstalling the App from your device.

4. iCloud and Apple Services

If your device is configured to back up or sync app data through Apple iCloud, your HammerCalc data may be stored in your personal iCloud account. This storage is provided and controlled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy(https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/) and your iCloud settings. HammerStorm does not access or control your iCloud data.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

HammerCalc is offered on a subscription basis with a free trial. All purchases, subscriptions, renewals, and free trials are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. We do not collect or receive your payment card number or billing details.

Apple may share with us limited, aggregated, or anonymized purchase and subscription information (for example, subscription status or refund events) so that we can deliver and manage your subscription. This information is governed by Apple’s privacy terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings > [your Apple ID] > Subscriptions on your device.

6. How We Use Information

Because we do not collect your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, profiling, or sale. The on-device information described above is used solely on your device to provide the App’s calculator, notes, plan-viewing, and customization features.

7. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Because we do not collect personal information from the App, we have nothing to disclose to third parties for our own purposes. We may disclose information only if required to do so by law, regulation, valid legal process, or governmental request — but in practice we hold no personal user data that would be subject to such a request.

8. Data Security

Information you create in HammerCalc is protected by the security features of your device and operating system, including any device passcode, biometric lock, and Apple’s built-in data protections. We encourage you to keep your device and operating system up to date and to use a device passcode. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data stored on your device or in your iCloud account.

9. Children’s Privacy

HammerCalc is a general-audience utility app rated 4+. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because the App does not collect personal information at all, no special children’s data is gathered.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), or Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

Because HammerCalc does not collect or store your personal information on our systems, we typically hold no personal data to provide, correct, or delete. You retain direct control of all content within the App and can access or delete it on your device at any time. If you believe we hold personal information about you and wish to exercise any right, contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

For purchase and subscription data, please direct requests to Apple, as Apple is the processor of that information.

11. International Users and Data Transfers

HammerCalc is available in multiple regions. Because your content stays on your device (and, if enabled, in your own iCloud account), it is not transferred to or stored on our servers. Any transfer of purchase or iCloud information is handled by Apple under Apple’s terms.

12. Third-Party Links

The App may let you save or open links to third-party resources (for example, building-code references or other websites via Quick Links). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. Review their privacy policies separately.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at the URL where this Policy is hosted. Material changes will take effect when posted. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
